I want a car that I can take road trips in easily. I want it to be cush, but yet precise. I really like the E60 5 series or the E-class offerings. I do need something that is pretty reliable, but I realize the effort that goes into European cars. What options do I have, I rather stay under 15k. I am planning on taking longer road trips and I want this car to be my sidekick. Thanks.

The LS and GS are RWD.

+ Urethane bushings and good tires for "preciseness".
It's not fancy or good looking, but the Crown Vic remains one of the best damn highway cruisers ever built.
Pretty much every other car you'll come across for this is going to be worse at highway cruising, but might have a slightly better interior, a slightly better chassis, a slightly better engine, but will be
way
more expensive to buy and
way
more expensive to repair, own, and drive, and will fall apart
far
sooner.
If you live in Europe though, well, good luck searching.
I still think that $10,000 can make a Crown Vic just as comfortable and strong as a similar year E-Class, but minus the prestige and complexity. Plus, other people will drive safer around you and cops will likely ignore you.

Came here to say Panther, you beat me to it.
Though if he's looking for a little classier option you can try a Grand Marquis or a Town Car:
